Dr. Pamela Mandela is a public health specialist with a Masters degree in Public Health (Staffordshire University, UK). She also has a Masters in Medicine degree and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi. Dr. Her current responsibilities include supervision, co-ordination and management of all consultancy services and projects in Health Development Associates LTD, a Nairobi based company. She is also a lecturer at the University of Nairobi. She has participated in research projects at various levels and in community outreach programmes. She has also done community work with AMREF in Northern and North-eastern Kenya and parts of Tanzania. She has served as a member of the Community Advisory Board on the development of the HIV vaccine in Kenya. She has worked in various NGO and donor-funded projects. She served as the coordinator of GoldStar Network (HIV Private Practitioners’ Network) and is the coordinator for the KMA/ARCAN Physician Training Program. She is our work plan development and qualitative research expert. Her strengths are in research methods and statistical analyses. Her interests are in health promotion, community health education and health communication |
